The origin of the Viking ax can be traced back to ancient times in Northern Europe. Axes were widely used as tools and weapons in early Viking society. Over time, however, the Vikings began to transform the ax into a more specialized tomahawk. These tomahawks are uni quely designed to provide greater cutting power and greater efficiency.
The shape features of Viking axes include a long handle, usually wooden, and a curved blade at the top. This blade is double-edged, very sharp on both sides, and can be used for slashing and chopping. Some Viking hatchets were also equipped with a short knife, which was used for stabbing or engaging in close combat.
Viking axes played an important role in Viking piracy and warfare. The Vikings were known for their bravery and determination, using the ax as their primary weapon on the battlefield, capable of effectively damaging shields and armor and inflicting deadly damage. This gave the Vikings a powerful deterrent in battle throughout northern Europe and beyond.
